John Stadsvold, CTFA, AEP®, has been in the financial services industry for almost 50 years. He began his career serving as Trust Investment Officer for a community bank trust department in Fargo, ND. Since then, he has worked for financial institutions across the United States, including over three decades of experience in trust, including management, administration, operations, and investment services.
He has a passion for helping clients grow and preserve their savings. His enthusiasm for estate and trust clients and for the management and eventual disposal of their wealth was developed early in his career while working with two clients; one whose estate and trust he managed over the course of 8 years as it was disbursed ‘tax free’ to three charities; the other a settlement from an insurance company placed in a special needs trust for an individual with life changing disability as the result of an automobile accident.
John has served on the boards of numerous business, civic, and performing arts organizations and been active in investment societies and estate planning councils throughout his career.
In his free time, he is an avid reader of books covering WWI and the early Monastics. Along with his wife they enjoy hiking, gardening, and visiting historic hotels and the neighborhoods around them.
